5* (EPIPHANY) grabbed my attention & held me hostage from first page...assumptions I made throughout the story were mostly wrong & based on books I thought similar but weren't, as this is in a category by itself. Only after finishing did I realize how well the pieces fit together & how beautiful the ending was. I will have to read again to catch all the bits I missed from rushing to see what happens next. Janie (Clearwater, fl)
5* (BACK FROM THE DEAD) This gripping novel transports a classic fictitious character into the modern world, culture and conscience. Within it's captivating pages, the author exposes the modern man for his monstrously hideous nature in contrast to his natural and timeless capacity for pure compassion. Our flaws, triumphs, aspirations, dignity and motivations are laid on the table before us and brilliantly dissected with a clear eye and a steady pen. It becomes easy to forget we are reading fiction as this tale comes to life in our hands. Benjamin Underwood Halstead
5* (SHADOW HOUSE) The reader is...taken on a hair raising journey into a dead man's life...a man who refuses to stay dead. A hint of Aaron's greed and flashbacks into PJ McAvoy's violent life are so well crafted, you feel as though you are hiding behind every corner, watching as PJ takes over Aaron's life and you are caught up in fear as you turn the page...scared of what will happen next. The twists and turns take you into a mind-boggling state, and you will never guess how the Molina family's horror will end. Michael Phelps-FLA
5* Mr. Land's (ORIGINAL BLOOD) is captivating. His writing is forceful, drawing the reader in to be a participant. I felt like I lived every scene, experiencing every event, feeling breathless at the sensual and remarkable love that spans lifetimes. A stellar book, one you should add to your to be read pile. His bold take on vampires is so original that one has to read this book, like drinking aged wine, taking small sips a little at a time, to discern its bouquet. 5* (Land's CROSSING THE DOUBLE YELLOW) scenario...sets up a situation that leads to a plethora of possibilities and he explores them to the utmost. His characters are so well drawn you can see them...I lost myself in the story and several times surprised myself by laughing aloud. I can't help thinking it would make a cracking movie. 5* (BACK FROM THE DEAD) I was delighted once the prose sucked me in. The language is skilled, yet welcoming to anyone wishing to delve deeper into this centuries old story...to see an author shed new light in such a way is inspiring. I couldn't help but feel the same emotional-mix as I did when I read through Mary Shelley's novel...The characters are alive, even the creature, well kind of...I recommend this novel. 5* (CLAIMING LIVES) I loved this story!!! Jake and Bradley were a fabulous cop team duo and Romero was the best side character. I loved the conversations between Jake and his teenage daughter Taylor, and the ones between Jake and his partner were priceless. A very smooth fast ride...the pages keep turning till the end...no time to think, and the reveal is both tough and sad and thrilling. I still have not stopped to catch my breath.
